ABOUT TREVOR BITTINGER

Trevor Bittinger received his Communication Arts and Design BFA with a
concentration in Kinetic Imagery from the School of the Arts at VCU in 2002.
As a digital artist, he has worked on successful advertising campaigns for brand
names such as Absolut, Sprint, Nivea, Reebok, Verizon, Skittles, and Snickers
among many others, and he has distinguished himself with multiple awards. His
animation and illustration work have been featured on album covers and in music
videos since the beginning of his career.

In 2009, Bittinger was recruited to help with the release of TBWA’s Worldwide
Creative Director John Hunt’s new book ‘The Art of the Idea: And How It Can
Change Your Life’. He worked with a team to create 2 short animations based on
excerpts from the book, which were used to promote the book online as well as
shown during Hunt’s book tour.

Also in 2009, one of Bittinger’s illustrations was included in Anneloes van
Gaalen’s book “The Medium is the Message: And 50 Other Ridiculous
Advertising Rules”, a ‘list of inspirational or delusional advertising jargon for the
world to judge.’ – amazon.com

Apart from his work in advertising, Bittinger is an illustrator, painter, animator,
and has directed music videos for various indie rock bands, as well as shown
his art at galleries in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and upstate NY. His fine art work
draws inspiration from the past, present, and future using visual imagery
that communicates and contrasts visions, dreams, fears, and nostalgia in a
juxtaposition of darkness and childlike playfulness through themes of birth,
decay, love, and pain.
Bittinger’s creations themselves intertwine the earthly and the ethereal, the base
and the sublime, adding a harmonious voice and giving rebirth to objects that
once may have been thought dead, skewing the perception of the viewer’s mind
and eye.

Trevor currently lives and creates in Brooklyn, NY.

Quotes:
“…we just made four videos which are going to be really exciting. One is by
our friends Trevor Bittinger and Brandon LaGanke, and they are psychedelic
geniuses. They worked on the first track, “Volcano,” which is a really fun,
psychedelic visual experience that features a street performance artist who is
known for wearing a giant plushy dolphin suit.”

“This trippy, mezmerizing, and down right beautiful video was directed by Trevor
Bittinger & Brandon LaGanke. The video is full of vibrant color explosions, mind
bending camera tricks, gobstopper tongues, and a dancing dolphin. No doubt
these guys will soon be hearing from psychedelia freaks like MGMT & The
Flaming Lips.”
